Stawamus Chief Mountain, British Columbia

Early in the morning we ventured out to the small mountain town of Squamish, BC on the sea to sky highway, passing scenic ocean views and soaring mountains. We met up with our good friend from Ontario to tackle the Stawamus Chief Mountain hike. The Squamish, indigenous people from this area, consider the Chief Mountain to be a place of spiritual significance. The hike consists of 3 peaks, with a 600m elevation gain. We explored peak 2 and 3 and had a celebratory beverage at the top where we shot some awesome footage. We hope you enjoy! ❤ Our Moving Roots Follow us at: Facebook: www.facebook.com/ourmovingroots Instagram: @ourmovingroots YouTube: Our Moving Roots

Road Trip to Alberta

After completing Teachers College this May, the travel bug was biting us both! We decided to take a spontaneous road trip to visit/surprise our best friends in Calgary with many adventures along the way! We started from Ottawa early in the morning; our car filled with equipment for every activity possible (aka way too much stuff). We made our mandatory stop at Tim’s and we were on our way. Powering through Ontario we stopped in Sudbury to see the Big Nickel and the Sault Ste. Marie Terry Fox Statue. The day started at a warm 23C and ended at -3C in Northern Ontario. By day two we added another 1000km’s to the drive and ended up in Winnipeg. After a short workout the next morning, we skippe
