It’s safe to say we fell in love with the island of Palawan in the Philippines! With jagged cliffs surrounding sparkling turquoise waters and pristine white beaches, it was something out of a high end travel movie. The most popular place to base yourself for exploring this stunning part of the Philippines is the town of El Nido. El Nido is located in the northern tip of Palawan Island. It is set in a boat-filled bay with cliffs looming in the background. Though the town is charming in itself, the beauty that surrounded us was just a boat ride away. Island hopping, an epic sunrise hike on jagged rocks, kayaking through a cove with crystal clear waters, mesmerizing sunsets on beautiful beaches, scuba diving, eating at the delicious local health food cafes and being pleasantly surprised at the ban of all single use plastics. El Nido, Palawan, Philippines was an absolute dream to explore.

This year Alison's parents handed down their Coleman Pop Up Camper to us. Alison had many great memories travelling across Canada in this camper with her family and although we loved it just the way it was, we thought we'd bring it into the 2020s with some renovations. Being stuck in Canada during the pandemic freed up our schedule quite a bit, so we decided to take on this project through the month of September with a timeline of having it finished to do some late season camping in October. We put in long days most days of September and learned so many things along the way. We couldn't be happier with the result and are so excited to show all of you! Take a look and we hope you enjoy.
